About Buu Tu Chung

Buu Tu Chung was a young Christian who became a Special Operations helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War. He was shot down over Laos and was captured by the North Vietnamese Communist forces and was imprisoned in POW camps in North Vietnam. His life in those prisons was filled with many hardships, suffering, and a life sentence for refusing to collaborate with the Communists. With simple faith, he prayed to God for a Bible, to clearly know the path to salvation. A miracle happened. The General Department of Politics of the North Vietnam Army sent him a Bible—something that had never happened in a Communist prison. He was also divinely protected from many disasters. As a divine appointment, he alone witnessed some secrets related to American prisoners’ corpses. Through his character, many prison guards respected and helped him. After nearly fourteen years of exile, he was the last prisoner of war from the battle of southern Laos to be released from prison, and he returned to his faithful wife and two daughters.
